About Raj!

Raj is one of the most prestigious restaurants in Essex. It offers customers the highest standards of food and service. The cuisine is highly acclaimed by its regular customers. Our reputation is based on the consistent ability to meet the needs of our discerning customers and the manager, Abdul Ali, is constantly alert and focused to maintain customer satisfaction.

The restaurant, which originally opened in 1994 has had a complete face lift and looks like a totally different venue. Incorporating modern furniture and artworks the new image is totally modern, with our professionally designed lighting system and sympathetic decor a wonderfully relaxed feeling is maintained.

SPECIAL SIZZLER JULIET £11.95

Chicken Tikka or Lamb Tikka marinated in fresh herbs and spices, with capsicums, onions and flaming brandy.

MUSHROOM MILK TIKKA (v) £6.95

With onions, mushrooms, red, yellow and green peppers and home made Bangladeshi cottage cheese. Marinated with yoghurt, fenugreek seeds and medium spices with a topping of dill.

SPICY GRILLED AUBERGINE (v) £7.95

Cubes of aubergine marinated with yoghurt, fenugreek seeds, fresh coriander and garlic. Served with tamarind sauce and salad.

SPICED MILK TIKKA (v) £7.95

Cubed Bangladeshi cottage cheese with scented red chillies garlic and ginger, aromatically spiced. Served with tamarind sauce and salad.
